  • 120K CLİMBOLİC EPHESUS ULTRA Departure to Checkpoint 1: After starting from the lower gate of Ephesus, you will reach the upper gate of Ephesus by running 3.7 kilometers from the asphalt road. When you reach the upper gate of Ephesus, you will enter a thin path. Following this path, you will pass through the fence and pass over the ancient city of Ephesus. After you exit the fence, you will turn left on the path.

    Continue along this path. After 600 meters, the path will turn into a thin path. Note the marking here. After 500 meters, the thin path will turn back into the thick path. At this point, turn around and look back. Don’t forget to take a selfie with a view of the ancient city of Ephesus.

    Continue along the thick path to the paved road. This paved road is the asphalt road of the village. Continue 400 meters from the asphalt road and make a right turn. After running 200 meters from the path, you will reach Kuşadası-Şelçuk main road. Continue along the path, crossing the paved road with the direction of your friends on duty. Continue along this path. First you will see the camel wrestling area and then the site.

    Continue on the road at the edge of the site and take the asphalt road. Run across the asphalt road to the sea with the guidance of your friends on duty. Pay attention to the signs at this point. After going to the beach, turn left. Continuing through 600 meters of sand, you will reach the Richmond checkpoint on the 12th kilometer.

    Run from the ground near the water, the sand is hard in this part. Your total altitude gain will be 350 meters and your altitude loss will be 320 meters. Going to checkpoint 2: After exiting the checkpoint, continue 1 kilometer straight from the sand. Turn left into the hotel. Continue through the hotel and onto the paved road. Continue along the path, crossing the paved road. By continuing along the path, you will reach the Arvalya checkpoint at the 15th kilometer.

    Your total altitude gain will be 410 meters and your altitude loss will be 340 meters. Going to Checkpoint 3: After exiting the checkpoint, cross the paved road and enter the path. You’ll continue along the thick path. You noticed the signs at the crossroads. Continuing along this thick path, you will reach the Virgin Mary checkpoint at the 23rd kilometer. Watch The Last Exit. Only 200 meters but a little steep  your total altitude gain will be 510 meters if your altitude loss is 845 meters. Departure to Checkpoint 4: After exiting the checkpoint, follow the path for 500 meters. Make a right turn and enter the other path. Before the path, you will run 1 kilometer downhill. Then you will go 1.1 kilometers uphill to the asphalt road.

    Stay on the right side of the road as you run along the paved road. After turning left on the asphalt road and running 700 meters downhill, you will turn right and enter the thick path again. Continue along this thick path. On the 28th, you will be separated from the athletes who run 42 kilometers. Athletes who run 42 kilometers will turn left on the fire path, while you will continue straight. Continue along this path and you will go to the asphalt road. After running 3 kilometers downhill from the asphalt road, you will go to the main road. When you get to the main road, you’ll make a right turn.

    Run 400 meters from the path on the side of the main road and you will reach the Çamlık checkpoint on the 35th kilometer. Check your water as you leave the checkpoint. Take extra water with you. The next checkpoint is in 16 km !!!!! Your total altitude gain will be 1,300 meters if your altitude loss is 1570 meters. Departure to checkpoint 5: After leaving the Çamlık checkpoint, you will cross the asphalt road and go to the thick path.

    After 5 kilometers uphill from the thick path, you will usually run on the same slope. You’ll continue this way until the 49th kilometer. At the 49th kilometer, you will turn left on the asphalt road. Run 2 kilometers downhill from this paved road and you will reach the Shirince checkpoint at 51 kilometers. Your total altitude gain will be 2410 meters and your altitude loss will be 2080 meters. Going to Checkpoint 6: After the Smurf checkpoint, you will be separated from athletes who run 61 kilometers.

    Those who run 61 kilometers will go from this point to Shelchuk, and you will go to the village of Belevi. At the exit of the village, you will make a right turn and run downhill under the direction of your friends on duty. Note the markings in this section. After 1 kilometer downhill, you will enter the right between the olive groves. Note some technical marking in this part. You will run 2 kilometers between Olive and peach trees.

    This part is usually uphill. When you hit the cobblestone road, you turn left. The cobblestone road is about 400 metres. After 400 meters, when you climb the thick path, you will continue along this path to the checkpoint at the 61st kilometer. This road you’re going to run is bumpy. As you go uphill, you will come out with a sweet slope. If your total altitude gain is 3000 meters, your altitude loss will be 2640 meters. Departure to Checkpoint 7: After leaving the checkpoint, continue along the path.

    Enjoy the view as you run along this bumpy road. As you go uphill, you will come out with a sweet slope. After you finish uphill from the path, you will run downhill towards the chicken farm. You’ll go through the chicken farm. Don’t forget to close the door that you opened when entering the chicken farm after passing. You will run 2 kilometers downhill towards the village of Belevi. When this landing is over, you will have a difficult exit of 2.8 kilometers. This exit between the olive groves will be one of the most difficult exits you will make throughout the race.

    Do not avoid walking up the hill. After reaching the summit, you will run 4.5 kilometers downhill from the path and reach the Belevi village checkpoint at the 72nd kilometer. Note the markings within the village. If your total altitude gain is 3510 meters, your altitude loss will be 3510 meters. Departure to Checkpoint 8: After leaving the village of Belevi, follow the asphalt road and continue to the Castle exit checkpoint at kilometer 74.5. Your total altitude gain will be 3570 meters and your altitude loss will be 3560 meters. Departure to Checkpoint 9: You’re starting to go up to the Goat Castle.

    This part is the most technical part of the race. After leaving the checkpoint, you will start climbing down the thin path towards the castle. After a climb of about 1700 meters, you will reach Goat Castle. Although it may seem difficult to get to the castle, it will not force you as much as you think. After going up to the castle, you will turn right and continue along the thin path. Note the markings here, the head of the trail is not fully visible.

    You’ll continue along the thin path. Towards the end of the trail, the trail disappears. Be careful with the markings. Vaguely, when the path is over, you will come to a thick area. After passing the animal shelter, you will run downhill along a thick path to the checkpoint, reaching the checkpoint at kilometer 86.5. Your total altitude gain will be 4080 meters, and your altitude loss will be 4080 meters. Departure to Checkpoint 10: After leaving the checkpoint, you will continue along the path. From this bumpy path to the paved road on the 95th kilometer, you will get to the road. When you get to the asphalt road, continue this road for 1 km. To your right are the orange groves.

    At this point, pay attention to the markings, you will turn to the right and enter the path between the Orange and tangerine Gardens. You will run 1.7 kilometres between the Orange and tangerine Gardens. When you get to the cemetery, turn right on the paved road. After the asphalt road comes out, you will follow the asphalt road and reach the Barutçu village checkpoint at the 100th kilometer. Note the markings within the village. Your total altitude gain will be 4560 meters and your altitude loss will be 4530 meters.

    Going to Checkpoint 11: After leaving the gunpowder village checkpoint, you will see the Fork Lake by following the path. You’ll continue along the edge of the lake. This road is broken asphalt. After crossing Fork Lake, you will continue along the edge of Gebekirse Lake. Here the road is sometimes broken asphalt, sometimes footpath. After crossing the lake, you will run between the gardens and reach the Zeytinköy checkpoint at the 108th kilometer. Note the markings within the village. If your total altitude gain is 4690 meters, your altitude loss will be 4690 meters.

    Going to Checkpoint 12: After leaving the Zeytinköy checkpoint, you will continue through the village. By turning left, you will run through the delta of the small Meander. Be careful, it may be a little muddy:) after passing through the small Meander Delta, you will go up to the asphalt Village Road. After continuing 500 meters from this asphalt road, you will exit to the Şelçuk-Menderes road. After you turn left and cross the bridge, you will go down the paved road and continue along the path leading to the side of the road.

    Be careful this road may be muddy. From this road, you will go to the total checkpoint at the 114th kilometer. Your total altitude gain will be 4710 meters and your altitude loss will be 4720 meters. Going To The Finish: After leaving the last checkpoint, you will continue 1 kilometer from the edge of the Kusadasi-Selcuk highway and reach the dutlu road. Continue on the Dutlu road to the center of Selcuk, turn left and pass next to the Isabey Mosque at the finish point in the Station Square.

    Congratulations on completing this challenging 120 km adventure. Your total altitude gain will be 4740 meters and your altitude loss will be 4730 meters.
